Audi India sold 1,431 retail units during the second quarter of 2024. According to a press release, the sales of German luxury auto manufacturer increased 37% compared to the first quarter of 2024. However, compared to the same quarter of the prior year, its sales declined 6% mainly due to supply chain constraints.
Mr Balbir Singh Dhillon, Audi India Head said that the supply chain situation had improved during the second quarter of 2024 compared to the first. However, supply chain constraints still negatively affected sales in the second quarter. He expects the supply chain situation to improve towards the second half of this year, during which period, the company will be able to better serve customer demand. Demand has remained strong across Audi India’s vast product portfolio and Audi is optimistic about the long term potential of the Indian market as well as the growing demand for premium mobility solutions among Indian customers.
Meanwhile, Audi Approved: plus, Audi’s used car business recorded strong growth in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of the prior year. Its sales grew 33% in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the same quarter of the prior year as well as 11% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Currently, Audi has 27 Audi Approved :plus facilities operational across the country at major hubs and plans to add three more pre-owned car facilities within this year.
In May 2024, Audi inaugurated a new Audi Approved: plus facility in Mangalore, Karnataka at Door No 3, 93, Junction, Kuloor, Kavoor in Mangalore.
