Volkswagen's ID.7 from its all electric ID. family has received historic top score in ADAC vehicles test. The experts from ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.), put 100 vehicles to test around every year rating them on more than 350 criteria across seven categories. ID.7 has received outstanding ratings across several categories including engine, safety, environmental test and comfort. The electric saloon received impressive ratings in other main categories too leading to the higher overall ratings.

The two categories that have the highest weightage include environmental/ecological test and safety and so the overall ratings of ID. 7 remained 1.5 or very good. Kai Grünitz, Member of the Board of Management responsible for Technical Development at Volkswagen brand said that the company was very proud and delighted about the fantastic results. He added that the ADACX ratings are highly respected and important and will persuade a lot of buyers to go for the Id. 7 Saloon.
ADAC conducted the tests on a VW ID. 7 pro with an output of 210 kw (286 PS). ADAC was particularly impressed with the high energy efficiency of the model that consumed just 18.1 kWh/100 km in the combined operation part of the ADAC Ecotest. The electric saloon is among the ost economical models in the midsized class. ID.7 received a score of 0.7 for the sub-category ‘Consumption/CO2’. The Ecotest has been an integral part of the etst carried out by ADAC for more than 20 years and the saloon wa awarded a full five stars in this test. The saloon received the best score of 0.6 in the sub-category ‘Active safety – Assistance systems’. The most important thing is that with a starting price of 53,995 euros, the ID. 7 Pro is cheaper compared to the previous best rated models manufactured by VW competitors.
Dino Silvestro, Head of Vehicle Testing at the ADAC Technology Centre in Landsberg am Lech said that it was good to see that safety, efficiency and comfort were not just a question of price. ADAC has modern test laboratories and uses comprehensive testing methods. Its vehicle tets ins moang htre most comprehensive consumer protection tests and allows all test results to be compared without restrictions - regardless of the price and class of the vehicle. The ID.7 is going to be launched mainly in China, Europe and North America. Volkswagen will manufacture ID.7 for the European market at the VW Emden plant. VW has also integrated chatGPT into the IDA voice assistant of ID.7.
